Teddy Pendergrass
Teddy Pendergrass, Soul Singer, dies 59
(March 26, 1950 — January 13, 2010) was an American R&B/soul singer and songwriter. Also known by the nicknames Teddy P, TP, or Teddy Bear, Pendergrass first rose to fame as lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes in the 1970s before embarking on a successful solo career at the end of the decade.

Teddy Pendergrass died at Bryn Mawr Hospital at age 59, from complications following surgery for colon cancer.

Ferlin Husky
Ferlin Husky Dies
Sad news for fans of "Gone" and "Wings of a Dove" country star Ferlin Husky: "Ferlin passed away today in the Critical Care unit of a Nashville-area hospital where he had been under intensive care for several days. Husky was 85 and had suffered with heart disease. Husky's final recording, according to his Web site, was 2005's "The Way It Was (Is The Way It Is)." He is survived by six daughters, two sons and several grandchildren.

Michael Jackson Dies
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. According to reports, Jackson died as a result of cardiac arrest. An autopsy later showed that Jackson died as a result of an overdose of the anesthetic propofol.

Jackson was finally laid to rest in a mausoleum at the Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in California on September 3, 2009.

Casey Johnson
Casey Johnson, Johnson & Johnson heiress, dies 30
Casey Johnson (September 24, 1979 – January 4, 2010) was an American socialite. She was also one of the great-great-granddaughters of Robert Wood Johnson I, co-founder of Johnson & Johnson.

On January 4, 2010, Johnson was found dead in her Los Angeles home. The cause of death is yet to be determined (pending coroner's toxicology report), however authorities reported "no evidence of foul play" and that she might have been dead a few days. Tequila said Johnson had not answered her phone since December 29, 2009. Tequila later posted to her Twitter that Johnson was not dead, but in a coma. Later she backtracked stating that Johnson was, in fact, dead

At the age of 14, Johnson co-wrote a book with her father entitled Managing Your Child's Diets. She has appeared as herself on the television shows The Fabulous Life of... and E! True Hollywood Story. In addition she was a popular Hollywood socialite known for making outrageous headlines.

Johnson openly declared her sexuality as a lesbian.

Brittany Murphy
Actress Brittany Murphy dies at age 32
Brittany Murphy, the actress who got her start in the sleeper hit "Clueless" and rose to stardom in "8 Mile," died Sunday in Los Angeles. She was 32.

Murphy was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, hospital spokeswoman Sally Stewart said. Stewart would not provide a cause of death or any other information.

Murphy was transported to the hospital after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at 8 a.m. at the home she shared with her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, in the Hollywood Hills.

Los Angeles police have opened an investigation into Murphy's death, Officer Norma Eisenman said. Detectives and coroner's officials were at her Murphy and Monjack's home Sunday afternoon but did not talk to reporters. Paparazzi were camped outside.
